November 2017

Ah November, you fickle creature. You brought an Indian summer and Thanksgiving but also the stomach flu for the whole family. And yet, I still managed to get three books read. It wasn’t without effort, but I think this may be the most satisfied I’ve been with my reading choices in a single month in a long time. Again, only three this month, but they were good. Yes, I meant to read Frankenstein in October but didn’t get around to it until November before my book club met. Coincidentally this also happened a few years ago when a different book club picked it for their October book and I didn’t get to it until November (again, right before we met to discuss). I guess its settled, for me Frankenstein is a November type of book. But if I’m honest, Frankenstein was out shined by my other November picks.
