I’m pretty sure this book changed me. Or am I the same as I always was but because of this book I now realize certain things about myself? 5 stars, no question. And it’s been a while since I last gave a book that coveted rating. I could go on about the perfect pacing, the rawness of the characters, the well placed metaphors etc and I would be completely underselling this novel. It tackles real human relationships, the natural man backed against the wall by his moral compass, the grey area of real life, and the beauty of consequences. I finished this book utterly transfixed and emotionally wrung dry, I don’t think I could summon one more tear if I desperately tried; and yet I feel refreshed and renewed. Don’t pass this one up.
